Anniversary Of The 7 Seven Dips

Rob and I recently celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.
To be quite honest, our anniversary kinda snuck up on me with all the travel and moving we’ve been doing.

I originally wanted to make Rob and a copper wind chime, since the 7th anniversary traditional gift is copper and he loves the sound of wind chimes, but I didn’t have the time or the tools.

So I thought to myself “What does Rob like?”
The first thing that came to my mind was chips and dip.
Rob doesn’t just like chips and dip, he loves them,
So this year I decided to make our Anniversary the Anniversary of the 7 dips.

We were planning to do a road trip on the day of our anniversary, so the night before I surprised Rob with a mini dip party for the two of us.

The theme of the night was love so I got a love banner, love napkins, and love cake topper.

For the dips I made 7 of Rob’s favorite, one for each year of marriage.

As you can see, Rob left a trail of queso in the mango pineapple.
When we were first married, I would get completely grossed out whenever he would do this, but after 7 years it doesn’t bother me- as much.

I served the 7 dips with tortilla chips and Ruffles.
After the dips we had a piece of fun-fetti cake

I also wrote him a love letter.
I write him one every year.
This year I wanted to make it a little more special, so I  made a video of me reading it aloud.

What Rob did for me…

On our anniversary Rob and I decided to do a road trip from San Francisco to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Before I got in the car Rob gave me a bag containing 7 of my favorite Road trip snacks…

1. Doritos
2. Pistachio
3. Snap peas
4. Gummi bears
5. Granola
6. Redvines and
7. Trail mix

When we got to SLC we had a fun dinner with friends.
Then the next morning he surprised me with a breakfast picnic where we had omelets and pancakes in the cutest little park.

I forgot my phone at home so I didn’t take any pictures,
But being phone free allowed me to be present in the moment with Rob.
